TERTIARY EDUCATION UPDATE

Kairuku-Hiri student intake at the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) for year 2008 was obtained from the Kairuku Students Association and Hiri Students Association. Out of 81 students in their different fields of study, the majority undertake Political Science (17%) followed by Science (10%), Law (7%), both Physics and Accounting (5%) and 4% in Psychology, Geo-physics, Social Work and Environmental Science and the remaining in various other courses. About 25 final year students will be entering the workforce soon whilst 32 new students are in their first year of studies. View UPNG Student intake graph.
